Project Overview

MakerMasti brought The Great Science Fun Lab to R City Atrium, Ghatkopar, with a science-focused experience designed for children and families. The event combined hands-on science, fun experiments and science games in a mall setting, creating opportunities for young visitors to explore, participate and discover through activities.

The two-day weekend event was designed to give families a distinctive experience beyond conventional mall visits.

The Brief

R City Atrium sought a distinctive engagement activity that could offer families an interactive experience centred on science. The event required a planned programme of activities, facilitator-led engagement and coordinated on-ground execution. Key objectives included:

  • Executing the event on the ground from setup through delivery.
  • Facilitating engaging activities for visitors.
  • Managing registrations and visitor flow efficiently.
  • Documenting the experience during the event.
  • Coordinating in real time with venue and support teams.

The Challenge

The experience needed to make science engaging for children and families within a busy mall environment.

Beyond the activity programme itself, successful delivery depended on coordinating the event setup, facilitating participation, managing registrations and visitor movement, and working closely with the venue and support teams.

The Approach

MakerMasti structured the event around interactive science programming and coordinated on-ground execution.

  1. 01

    Hands-on discovery

Science activities designed to encourage children to explore concepts through participation.

  2. 02

    Fun experiments

Experiment-led experiences that gave visitors opportunities to observe and engage with science in an accessible setting.

  3. 03

    Interactive games

Science games that added a playful element to the experience and encouraged participation.

  4. 04

    Facilitator-led engagement

Support from facilitators to guide visitors through the activities.

  5. 05

    On-ground coordination

Registration and crowd-flow management, experience documentation and real-time coordination with venue and support teams.

The Festival Experience

The Great Science Fun Lab featured a science-themed activity environment designed around participation and discovery. The planned programme included:

  • Science pavilions
  • Fun experiments
  • Hands-on science activities
  • Science games

On-Ground Execution

The event’s execution focused on delivering the planned activities while supporting a smooth visitor experience.

  • Event setup

A dedicated activity area provided the setting for the science experiences.

  • Facilitator-led activities

Visitors engaged with hands-on activities and experiments with support from facilitators.

  • Registration and crowd flow

Registration and visitor movement were identified as key elements of the on-ground execution plan.

  • Venue coordination

Real-time coordination with venue and support teams formed part of the event’s execution objectives.

  • Experience documentation

On-site documentation captured activity highlights and visitor participation.

The Impact

The Great Science Fun Lab brought a participatory science experience into R City Atrium, giving children and families opportunities to engage with science through activities and experiments. The project highlights MakerMasti’s approach to science-themed mall experiences, combining interactive programming with facilitator-led engagement and coordinated on-ground execution.
